Arrivals and departures must be booked for an agreed date and opening time.
When you come and see us for the first time, please be aware that the turning into Church Street is quite sharp.
The check-in process may take 5 to 15 depending on how much time you would like to settle in your cat, please allow for this and arrive with us in good time. If you are running late and may miss the opening time, please let us know as early as possible.
Only cats from the same household may share a pod. All cats boarding must be vaccinated against infectious Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu and vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival. This vaccine is given by a vet annually. A valid vaccination certificate must be produced in advance or on arrival. Failure to produce this will prevent us from accepting your cat.
The cattery reserves the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health pending advice from a Veterinary surgeon. You will appreciate that this is essential to safeguard the health of all cats boarded. No cat suffering from or suspected to be suffering from any infectious or contagious disease can be accepted.
Please make sure your cat has been treated against external parasites such as fleas and worms. If your cat is not on a regular treatment programme, please apply a flea treatment and give an appropriate worming treatment before your cat arrives with us. If we find that a cat boarding with us has arrived with fleas and or worms, we will apply an appropriate treatment and you will be charged accordingly.
We will ask for written consent to take your cat to a veterinary surgeon on your behalf should it be necessary. The consultation and treatment given will be carried out at the owner’s expense. We will contact you to discuss the situation with you at all stages of the procedure.
Cats over the age of 6months which have not been neutered cannot be accepted for boarding with us.
Boarding fees are charged per day, including the day of arrival and the day of departure, so that the pods are booked out for your cat for the whole of both the arrival and departure days.
You can pay by cash, cheque, payable to The Deverills Cattery or by BACS. In the event of you returning before the end of the period for which you cat is booked, we reserve the right to charge for the full period. Any additional costs incurred by us, such as flea treatments, are payable upon collection of your cat.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure your booking. Your booking is not secure until this payment has been made and we have confirmed the booking to you. If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, we will retain the deposit. Full payment is due if a cancelation is made with less than 3days notice to the start of the booking. If your cat does not arrive for the first booked day of their stay and we have not heard from you, we reserve the right to re-book the reserved pod.
If any cat is not collected within 21 days after the scheduled end of their stay, we reserve the right to rehome the cat. We will of course accommodate exceptional circumstances.
